Fragrance Profile:
A unisex oriental-fougère fragrance with a distinct fruity-chypre structure. It balances juicy, sweet opening notes with a complex, resinous, and slightly animalic base. Named after the Norse goddess of winter, it evokes a contrast between cold brightness and warm depth.
Skadi opens with a crisp and surprisingly complex top. Crisp pear and apple interweave with zesty citruses, while hazelnut adds a subtle nutty creaminess. The presence of Olibanum (frankincense) introduces a faintly smoky, resinous undertone from the very start, preventing the fruit from becoming too sweet or juvenile.
The heart reveals a sophisticated floral bouquet. Osmanthus brings its signature apricot-leather nuance, paired with the honeyed warmth of saffron and classic rose. Ambrette seeds provide a musky, wine-like undertone, while moss and amyl salicylate (known for its green, floral, and slightly aquatic facets) add a damp, earthy complexity that grounds the composition.
The base is rich, warm, and sensual. Labdanum contributes an ambered, leathery sweetness, fused with smooth vanilla. A trio of modern musks (Cetalox, Ambrettolide, Helvetolide) creates a clean, velvety, and surprisingly radiant dry-down that is both tenacious and skin-like.
